Madison graduated from The College of St. Scholastica in 2015 and 2016 with her Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work. Maddie has experience working in several different settings of victim and human services throughout her educational and professional experience. During the past seven years living and learning in Duluth, Maddie has volunteered and interned at various settings including Northwood Children’s Services, the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse, the Boys and Girls Club, Loaves and Fishes, and Essentia Health. Most recently, Maddie has worked as a mental health practitioner in the greater Minnesota area providing individual and group therapy and skills to children and their families. She is especially interested in working with sexual and gender based violence, advocacy, preventative education and community outreach, and plans to utilize her mental health background in her work in these areas. Maddie feels lucky and humbled to be a part of the First Witness team as a Family Advocate and Prevention Education Program Coordinator, and she is determined to further promote and strive towards the goal of supporting children and ending child abuse.
