Cheyenne Otto

Community Engagement Specialist

Cheyenne studied at Northland College graduating in May of 2019 where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. She majored in Sociology and Social Justice while double minoring in Psychology and Native American Studies. Cheyenne conducted a grounded theory research project for her Senior Capstone. Her research sought to uncover the underlying factors that contribute to truancy in Wisconsin.

During her time at Northland College, Cheyenne interned with TakeAction Minnesota. In this position, she assisted in building change for greater Minnesota. She has attended several trainings including, People’s Action National Conference 2017, SOUL’s 2018 National Youth Organizing Training Institute, and MCN Northeast Foundations Training in 2018.

Cheyenne joins us with a passion for developing and facilitating programs and events to support communities in need.
