Miranda has volunteered for many non-profit organizations in the Duluth community throughout the past several years. Some of the events that she has volunteered for include The Vagina Monologues for the American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO), Take Back the Night and the annual Fall SPLASH fundraiser for First Witness. She has also worked with domestic abuse survivors through Dabinoo ‘Igan, transitional housing and the re-entry program through Men As Peacemakers, aiding in connecting survivors with different resources around the community to make sure their specific needs were met. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Communications at UWS. She is also a dedicated wife and mother of two amazing children. Miranda’s previous experience and love of children has led to an ongoing passion to be a voice of compassion and empathy for youth and non-offending caregivers in her community.
