Great news! First Witness is offering our Training for Advocates Working With a CAC live and online and have scheduled the 3-day sessions for May 11, 18, and 26 from 9:00 am-4:30 pm via Zoom. This training meets all essential components in the NCA Standard of Advocacy and the fee is $500 for all three days. The sessions will be live and interactive so while we can’t all be in the same space right now, we will ensure you can connect with one another and participate throughout. Knowing that you are all as busy as ever, we have spread out the training days to one per week over three weeks.
First Witness advocacy model bridges the gap between individual advocacy with one victim and system-based advocacy that creates change for many victims. This design is in contrast to more restrictive advocacy models that are based on delivering services identified by practitioners.
The advocacy team at First Witness will teach our nationally-recognized model to you through hands-on practice and participation. During this 3-day training workshop, you will learn how to put advocacy principles into action. You will leave with the skills to organize and conduct focus groups to improve programming, change organizational systems, and create programs that meet victims’ needs. Participants will practice skills for effective crisis intervention and advocacy, problem-solving, and decision making around the toughest issues in advocacy work.
Space is limited. Strengthen your skills and level of advocacy service you can provide by registering HERE today!
